Privacy Policy

You do not need an account to learn on HTMLSchools, and your course progress stays in your own browser. Like most websites, we rely on third-party services to host, protect, measure and fund the site. Those services may process technical data and use cookies or similar technologies.

Who runs HTMLSchools

HTMLSchools is published by HTML6 (opens in a new tab), which is operated by SC Ruwix Services SRL, Tirgu Mures, Str. Navodari nr. 18, Judetul Mures, Romania (VAT RO37189732). SC Ruwix Services SRL is responsible for the data processing described on this page.

Contact and your rights

For privacy questions, or to ask about, correct or delete data we hold about you, use the HTML6 contact page (opens in a new tab) and mention HTMLSchools in your message. If you are in the European Union, you can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

What is stored on your device

Your course progress, lesson drafts, playground code, saved snippets and theme choice are kept in your browser with web storage (opens in a new tab) (local storage). We do not receive this data. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Hosting and Cloudflare

The site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider and delivered through Cloudflare, which provides the content delivery network and security services. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, these providers process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of each request. Cloudflare may set cookies, for example to tell people apart from automated traffic. See the Cloudflare privacy policy (opens in a new tab) for details.

Analytics

We may use analytics services to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how long visits last, the type of device and the approximate region. Analytics providers may use cookies or similar technologies, such as local storage or device identifiers, to do this. We use the results to improve lessons, not to identify you.

Advertising

To keep HTMLSchools free, the site may show advertising from third-party ad networks. Ad providers may use cookies (opens in a new tab), device identifiers and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and, where allowed, personalise them. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before such technologies are used. In Europe you can learn more and manage interest-based ads at Your Online Choices (opens in a new tab).

External content and links

All sample images, audio and video used in lessons are served from HTMLSchools itself. Links in lessons lead to other websites that have their own privacy policies. A playground share link contains your code inside the link itself; only people you give the link to can see it, and shared code from others is paused until you choose to run it.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Blocking some cookies may affect parts of the site that depend on our providers, and deleting site data also deletes your course progress.

Changes

We will update this page when the services we use change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Content on HTMLSchools is published by HTML6.
