Who writes HTMLSchools
All content on HTMLSchools is written and published by HTML6 (opens in a new tab), the team behind an online WYSIWYG HTML editor and document-to-HTML converter. HTML6 is responsible for everything on this site. Read more about the team on the about page.
Sources we rely on
Lessons follow the HTML Living Standard (opens in a new tab), the specification browsers implement. Accessibility advice follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 (opens in a new tab), and search advice follows official search engine documentation. When we link out, we link to standards bodies and reference works, and every external link is marked nofollow.
How content is checked
- Every lesson and challenge task is tested automatically on each build: the model solution must pass all of its checks and the starting code must fail at least one.
- Every page is checked for HTML errors, broken internal links and dead external links before it is published.
- Code examples run in the live editor on the page, so you can verify them yourself.
Tools we use
We use software tools, including AI writing assistants, to help draft and check content. HTML6 decides what is published and stands behind it.
Updates and corrections
Each page shows the date it was last updated. HTML and browsers keep changing, so we revise pages when the standard or browser support changes. If you find a mistake, please tell us through html6.com (opens in a new tab); we correct confirmed errors and update the page date.
